Build or Buy?

An AI solution would be helpful, but should you build one (in-house or outsourced) or buy an existing solution and customize it?

This step helps you decide on which solution to go for, and estimate the ROI to justify the decision.

Find

 

Start with a market scan for potential AI-enabled solutions. Qualify them by asking the following 4 questions of each:

  1. Are we "data ready" for what that solution needs?

  2. ​How much AI model training (i.e. customization) is required to make the solution useful for us?

  3. How much employee training will be required to deploy and use it?

  4. Given the time and setup involved, what are the total costs?
